Installation in Þórshöfn swimming pool

An installation made with aid from the municipality of Langanesbyggð, in the north east of Iceland. The installation features two Common Loons or Himbrimi, indigenous to this part of the country. The calls of these birds are eerie, and carry long distances. The birds, even though they look peaceful, are highly territorial. Only one pair will nest by each lake, and have a tendency of scaring off, and even killing other birds that get too close.
