AUÐUR LÓA

The Leikfimi / Sport sculpture series, debuted in a group exhibition in Harbinger, where they were shown in conversation with the works of Loji Höskuldsson and Sara Gillies. The series is ongoing, and has been evolving since 2018. In this work many of Auður's recurring ideas come together: aesthetics, social structures, the internet, and the 80s. These sculptures are the result of a period of research and are based on photographs of real events and people, in situations that can only be described as staged.
